Furong Town ushers in small peak of tourist flow

On August 23, as night fell, Furong Town Scenic Area in Yongshun County was lit up. At 20:00, there were still many tourists queuing up at the entrance of the scenic area. Furong Town receives over 10,000 tourists every day in August. Travel photographers took photos of tourists dressed in Miao costumes at popular destinations such as the Hand-waving Hall, Tuwang Bridge, and Waterfall Observation Deck. The charming night added an atmosphere to the photos. Due to the high demand for taking photos, tourists sometimes need to wait in line. Photographer Fu Min runs four travel photography shops in Furong Town. He said that August is their busiest month in the year. This month, nearly 500 orders of travel photography have been completed in one of his shops, with different prices ranging from 199 yuan to 599 yuan per order. On the old streets of Furong Town, there are also tour groups. The popularity of tourism has also made tour guides busy. On August 23, a tour guide from Furong Town Tourism Development Co., Ltd. received six tour groups. She said, “The company received over 300 tour groups on the day, totaling more than 8,000 tourists. There are often Southeast Asian tour groups in the morning. The scenic area ushers in peak hours from 2pm to 4pm in the afternoon. As it’s relatively cool in the evening, there are also many people traveling with the groups.”
